LO1 was 2.5 when the baby came so she knew how to be careful by then. I just set the baby down on the floor a lot on the play mat or blankets. We also have a zero tolerance policy towards aggression to DS2, which has always earned an immediate time out. My son is 3 and he knows the baby is off limits. I feel like all the safe places I had for DS 1 (swing, bouncer, couch, playpen) are all dangerous now when you add a toddler to the equation! All those places are accessible for thrown toys, poked eyes, toddler hits or pinches... Where in the world will I be able to set DS2 when he arrives!? </p>
