I was a bit worried that when spring came around (busy season for home buying in this town) I would see so many houses that I would have liked better... but I sure didn't! We really lucked out, because the inventory is crap here. I started talking to our realtor in December and she swore up and down we'd see more houses on the market in January and February. Then she was swearing up and down we'd see more coming on the market in the summertime. We ended up randomly finding the perfect house for us just outside our price range and talking them down to our topmost budget point with closing costs paid. We'd probably still be looking if that hadn't happened.
