I have Colonial, I haven't needed to use it yet, but my company chooses awesome benefits so I have no doubt they chose a good one, and it was super affordable for great benefits.

Yeah, I heard Aflac is great. I have never used it, though.

I am a co-business owner, so when we have kids, not only will I not get a paid maternity leave, but I will still have to pay a share of the overhead. I am looking to find the best short-term disability insurance that will help with this. I am looking for one that will cover a normal maternity leave and any issues that come up, and paying the most possible. (I would rather pay a high premium and have a high payout since it needs to cover my overhead). The one upside is that since I co-own the business, I can still have access to the ones that only go through employers.

What STD insurance do you have? What do you like and what do you dislike? Thanks!

FYI- I do not qualify for any governmental maternity leave. I have an agreement with my partners that I may take 6-8 weeks, but if I don't have STD, I won't be able to afford more than 2. I LOVE my job and quitting is not an option.
