Poops, food, milk. If you're having weird poops I'd take pics of them to show the GI if necessary. My son is only 11 months but we've been seeing a GI at least every 4 weeks since he was 2 weeks old. I hope you get a good one. We are still working through my son's issues but our GI is great.

Agreed with fluid intake, how much milk and what times of day. My oldest had GI issue and I literally wrote down every single thing that entered her mouth. I also wrote down every time she got sick/times (our probably was vomit so I wanted to show how quickly she got sick after eating.) If your LO has eczema I'd also log when it flares (which can be a reaction to something.)

I track fluid intake (how much/what kind), food intake (how much/ what kind), and out put (just tracking diapers). My oldest has GI issues we are trying to sort through so this helps the GI get a better understanding of what's going on with him.

We also track any adverse reactions (rash, loose BM, constipation, etc)

LO2 (13 mo) has been having some poop issues for two months (8-20 soiled diapers per day and awful rash). I finally got his doctor to pay attention to it last week. She advised us to switch to lactose free milk. I did that even though my gut (and the bee) says I should do no milk. The ped asked me to give it two weeks. The first five days were encouraging but things got bad again Thursday and now they are bad as ever. I will email the ped on Monday to ask her how we can be ready for the next step which she said would be with a GI doc. In the meantime I'm logging what LO eats and when he poops - hoping that will put us a step ahead with the GI doc.

For those of you who have seen a GI doc, is there anything else I should be tracking in preparation?
