So for our wedding gift she painted a large abstract canvas, which we hang on the long wall behind our couch. There's still some room on either side so we frame pictures that DH and I took ourselves. They're all bright and theme-y: we're scuba divers, so the canvas is an abstract underwater theme, and the two side prints are fish. </p> <p>You could do something like that, or if you couldn't find something you like, even paint a canvas, or group of three, yourself. It doesn't have to be a Picasso, but even a fun splash of colour would really brighten up that wall.</p> <p>ETA photo. Ignore the messy end tables and the tables themselves. We're trying to decide which ones to go with. (Ignore how awful our couch looks and the toys. :wink: ) We have ten foot+ ceilings and the wall behind it is SO big and bare. I've never had a couch set up this way but in our new home this is pretty much the only place we can go. </p> <p>If you have a big wall like this in your living room (bonus points if it's over a couch), what did you do with it?
