We also showed him that even if people are eating, we sit and wait until everyone is done. This was a long process but it worked for us.</p> <p>Even now, we do things that make him crack up at the meal table (silly faces, fun stories). For my son, he's more of a visual learner so he has to see things, rather than just hear things. So as much as we said over and over "Sit down. Finish your food. No, no, you have to sit and eat" none of that worked as well as visually showing him HOW we eat at the table. Distractions only worked short-term for us. He had to be literally taught and shown how meal times work with our family.</p> <p>Sorry to thread jack. But I would love to see your feelings on internet privacy when blogging about your kids. I thought about blogging for a while but then sort of decided I didn't think my baby would like it down the road. For our generation it was all about how embarrassing it is when your parents pull out those old home videos of you in the tub as a baby. I can't imagine if my mom had such a detailed record of my childhood that friends or significant others could read! I find it especially interesting in your family because from what I can tell it seems like Mr Bee is very concerned about internet privacy (not saying his first name, not being in any photos, etc).
