I chose apple because you can mix it with so many things to help introduce new foods if LO won't take them plain - like carrots, squash, spinach, meats, ....

Glad he enjoyed the blackberries! I love them, but LO is pretty meh about them.

@oliviaoblivia: I actually don't eat eggs myself! Except in cakes and cookies :) so I worry about preparing them right. Although I used to make scrambled eggs for my nephew all the time when he was little!

I went with the blackberries and they were a HUGE hit! He was leaning over to lick juice off his tray :) also a HUGE mess!!! Glad we tried them in the evening before bath!

Eggs! We introduced eggs early. it was a great way to get her some protein but also have me options for banana/egg pancakes and bringing a hard boiled egg was a great early on the go food for us.

@mediagirl: will def. try carrots soon! I like your "easiest" method though ... and blackberries, apple, toast, all don't require a trip to the grocery store! :) (lazy mom)

C has had banana, oatmeal, avocado and sweet potato so far.
Just for fun - What should we try next?

I have been doing BLW'ing and have also been giving new foods for 3 days in a row to watch for reactions/allergies. However, the more I read the more open I become to trying things more frequently and not worrying waiting til a certain age for certain foods (except honey, dairy, eggs, and peanut butter at this point).

I have an apple I could bake and cut up, frozen berries (it's a mix, but I was going to pick out blackberries), thought about trying some peas (frozen). Broccoli florets seem like a fun option too! Other ideas?
