After that the show started to decline (in a fashion that it really couldn't spiral back up). </p> <p>Nowadays it more describes a show that loses whatever made it great and slowly (or quickly) starts to suck. </p> <p>"Jumped the shark" is the tipping point between awesome show and show that just becomes lame, ridiculous, or just worthless.
