He didn't get the hang of the zoli until 9 months and with the tippee he could bite the mouthpiece and get water no problem. It took about a month but she's got the hang of it now. We tried several others but he couldn't get the hang of them but the ZoLi was an instant success. He can sometimes figure it out but I generally have to help. What sippy/straw cup did you start out with? Do you think the zoli is ok as a first cup or should I get something "easier" for him? </p>
