Totally did not expect that (we planned on buying both twin beds) but we upgraded to a king right around the time we transitioned Wagon Jr. out of his crib so moving him to a queen cost us nothing. Then when shopping for a bed for LMW, I was adding up the cost for the bed, mattress, mattress pads, sheets, blankets, etc. and it was all adding up to over $1000. I stumbled across the Ikea bed I had been wanting for her on craigslist, including a new mattress, and it was a queen. Since we already had a ton of plain white and beige sheets all I had to buy was a comforter set to make it pretty... so she's in a queen as well!
