Hehe thanks everyone! I pulled out the blanket I originally bought from Ikea for Wagon Jr.'s nursery 3.5 years ago and surprise, surprise: it's a toddler bed comforter! He was so excited about it last night and he actually slept peacefully all night long with no crying wakeups and no nightmares, even though he skipped his nap at daycare. And he wasn't even under the comforter the whole night (AND we didn't put a sleep sack on him). I think just having the big blanket in there makes him feel cozier!

what about a toddler bedding set? maybe having sheets & a blanket would keep them from shifting as much. these are cute for a little boy if you want to avoid character one. or i know ppl who have used those little nap sleeping bags in their LO's beds so they stay wrapped up (and you just throw the whole thing in the wash so you don't have to make up the whole bed as often!! woohoo!)

Yes there are toddler sized ones! I know Target used to have dwell studio ones online. I'm sure a place like Buy Buy Baby or Babies R Us would have something you can see in person. And I'll bet Etsy has some great options also.

There are toddler sized quits and comforters. My son still tucks himself all in a ball when sleeping so we continue to use the crib sized blankets (he has like 4 of them on him as he takes after me and likes to snuggle down).

Yes! There are toddler bed comforters! I've seen them at Ikea and at PBK. My son sleeps in a full sized bed and we got him a twin sized comforter and it's still huge. So I think a twin sized comforter on a toddler bed would be way too big!

Wagon Jr. loves sleeping with a pillow and blanket now. But since he's still in a crib (which we plan on converting to a toddler bed.. any day now... by removing the front and installing the toddler rail) we use a crib blanket, and he wakes almost every night and gets really frustrated covering himself back up. Most nights he gets himself covered up but some nights he's cranky and starts to cry because he just. can't. get. his. feet. covered. :(

Should I get a twin sized comforter for him? I just feel like that would be HUGE in his crib. Are there toddler bed sized comforters? is that between a crib blanket and a twin sized blanket? I'm totally newb at this...
