I pump before bed and I just freeze whatever I get, sometimes it's 2.5 oz and sometimes it's 5. It's nice to have a variety of amounts because I don't always need a lot to top off a bottle. But then, occasionally, I need an entire bottle's worth.

I do 2 oz. That way less gets wasted if he doesn't take it all.

I froze in an ice cube tray which is about 1 oz each. Lots of days I would only need 1-2 extra ozs to fill the next days bottles so it was nice to have smaller portions

I like to do a mix and label each bag - some 2, some 3, some 4 - that way you can defrost and use whatever you need, even if you just need to top off a bottle of fresh milk.

I always just froze in 2 oz increments so I could mix and match whenever I need to. It works out great now that Xander's 16 months and I'm mixing BM with his hemp milk because I can just do 2 oz BM with 6-7 oz hemp, etc.

Around that age, I started freezing in 4 oz servings and then eventually 5 oz because she eventually didn't seemed satisfied with 4 oz. She just turned 5 months.

I froze 4 and then 6+ in the later months. My daycare required prepared bottles so I defrosted 12 ounces and split it between three bottles.

I am trying to start building up a little freezer stash of milk for when I go back to work. LO will be 12 weeks. In my limited experience I usually get enough for two smaller portions (2-2.5oz) or one bigger one (3.5-4oz). How much should I put in my freezer bags?
