I recommend not getting dresses at such a young age as it's fussier. Or if you do, get it for 12+ months. Or just get them infant toys. I always appreciated some infant toys over clothes b/c I never needed clothes. Good luck!

You know what? I am officially spooked and have decided to forgo the online shopping and go shop at a mall instead. I will still have my eye on BabyGap, but I think this is a 'got to be there' situation. And I am going to use ALL of this feedback when making my decisions there. Thanks gals!! Plus, I will use it as an excuse to make the big journey to a mall (1.5 hours away for me).

I am pretty sure @LivsMama is right and gap runs 0-3, 3-6, 6-12. I would buy 6-12.

@cvbee: Can you link to the dress and we can give more specific feedback? I agree, we didn't do a lot of dresses at that age (unless they were special occasion dresses)

If you get dresses that are a stretchy fabric with short sleeves, they can sometimes last a while longer because they could transition to more of tunic or top, worn with leggings, when the baby gets bigger.

although I dont think Baby Gap goes 6-9 months. I thought it was 3-6 then 6-12. In which case Id go 6-12

@cvbee: if its a stnadard cotton long sleeve dress something like this http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=84665&vid=1&pid=915116002 or like a long, long sleeve t-shirt, I would go 6-9. Parents tend to have a lot of clothes for whatever the baby's current size is, but not as much for upcoming sizes, so that could be useful

bah! even more confused :) appreciating the feedback though....not having a girl myself, I don't actually know what dresses are like and how useful they are or aren't. They live in a fairly warm climate, so I thought cotton longsleeve would be okay?

See, I think their stuff runs just right lol. Heres the thing-what are the dresses like? If they are fall dresses, order 3-6 so they can wear it now. If its more winter to spring, go 6-9 because realistically they wont be able to wear it until dec/jan- spring.

I honestly didn't enjoy dresses on my LO until she could walk and they could fall correctly. :)

But special occasion dresses are a whole other story. Got to have some of those! :)

My favourite gap products are the jammies and the leggings!

I have a pretty small baby (6lbs 10oz at birth, 16.5lbs now) so I might be crazy, but I feel like Baby Gap stuff runs big. I think my LO wore her 0-3 month Gap stuff until she was at least 6 months old, even when she'd outgrown other brands.

I think gap runs a "bit" small and dresses are easy to be work a bit on the large size especially because at 2.5 months they aren't crawling. I would for sure say the 3-6 months size, but if you want them to last a while, I would order the 6-9 month size.

Quick help needed, as I want to order within an hour or so.

I'm online shopping for my twin cousins who I'm about to meet for the first time. They are 2.5 months old. One is bigger than the other.

I decided on dresses and bows (two dif colours) from Baby Gap.

Should I buy them size 0-3? 3-6 months? Or one in 3-6 and one in 6-9 so they'll have 'a' dress for longer time? Or both in 6-9 because babies stay that size longer? Help! (fyi they seem like 'normal' size babies and were not premature).
