if she's already in 3-6, i would definitely go 6-12! my lean, long baby fits 6-12 starting around 6.5 months, but i could have definitely switched her sooner! i would rather be a little big than smaller!

I think it runs big on my short leg, long torso baby!

I think gap runs small, so I would definitely get the larger size

@littlek: I'm not sure - we don't have any! She is thin and has a long torso, but pretty short legs.

@artbee: Good point about wearing it longer. I would hate to spend $30 on an outfit and have her wear it once then bust out of it. Even though it's for halloween, it can also be worn as pjs since that's what it actually is!

How does she normally fit in gap clothes? I think I might get both just in case.

@artbee: hahaha I think gap runs big :) but I have a munchkin

We have some PJ's from babygap and they seem to run small. My LO was 8 lb 13 oz at birth and she is usually one size ahead. So if she were 5 months, I'd probably do 6-12 months. I'd rather have too big then too small.... and that way she could wear it longer.

@LazyLightning: is she tall? I think babygap runs large-ish. My LO is comfy in 12m Carter's and is just growing out of 6-12 babygap. They have free returns but I'm not sure how long the window is. I'd order both Nd return one later :)

Quick question. LO is 3 months old now, will be 5 months old on halloween. She was born 8 lbs 10 oz and now weighs about 12 lbs. She is in 3-6 month clothing, which fits her but not tightly.

I would like to get going on her halloween costume and found the perfect one-piece for the base of (she'll be a cat).

http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=95686&vid=1&pid=668621002

Question is, what size do you think I should order? 3-6 month, or 6-12? Does baby gap run large or small? (We have very few of their pieces so I'm not sure.) I could wait but also don't want it to go on sale and sell out, since it was surprisingly hard to find a plain grey footed romper, and one that's fuzzy (bonus! I didn't expect to find that).
