I've heard from school-aged parents that 5-7 yo are the "golden years" of childhood. They love to remember their kids during these years.</p> <p>My 5 yo is super sweet, affectionate and just loves to have fun! Also, compared to her preschool years, she's more adventurous with food and new experiences. She's a good kid who listens and is curious about the world. She is nonstop learning and growing. She sleeps well and is more and more independent everyday. Obviously, some kids are horrible, but a lot are amazing. It's the age I work with and while I do have students who make my life miserable, I also have plenty that are literally a joy to have around, and you just know their parents have done it right.</p> <p>So there's hope!</p> <p>(I think knowing your child isn't perfect and teaching them to own up to their bad choices goes a looong way.
