Before the Zoli, DS wasn't drinking very much milk. He would also bang the soft spouts on everything and milk would get everywhere. He loves the Zoli! He drinks all of his milk, no problem! We've only had it for 2 months, so no mold so far. I don't have the straw cleaner yet but it's not very hard to clean. I think the package says you don't need to remove the straw in order to clean it, but I really think you do if you want to avoid mold. Yes, the Zoli is tough to clean but it is doable if you get the cleaning tool.
