We're in a similar situation to you with age gaps (but my toddler is a runner so has to be in a stroller and not walking) and we think we're getting the City Select. I love the configurations and seat quality. And that you don't have to pump the tires. I used to have a Mountain a Buggy side-by-side when I nannied and it got a puncture while I had two toddlers in it and I was on an island a ferry ride away from downtown. Seriously the least fun ever.

@Ginabean3: In that case and what you need it for I think I would go with maneuverability over width!!

I saw a women with a side-by-side easily moving around Target. She got it right into the bathroom door no problems, but I didn't pay attention to brand so that's really no help lol (I know it was one where you could reposition the seats because she had the baby facing her and the older child facing out, so I don't think it was the BOB).

I have never tried the Bob Dualie, but I found the City Select quite bulky and difficult to push. I wasn't particularly happy with the way I handled but I have been spoiled by Uppababy I guess.

My cousin had a city select and let us borrow it so I could push DD and my nephew around the neighborhood. I found it to be too big and boat like. If you can test out the strollers before buying. I would suggest pushing it around with kids in it so you have a sense of how heavy it is when pushing.

I voted for the bob

If you like a tandum stroller I would recommend a phil and ted. We have one and its easier to push and does not feel like a huge boat.

Yep City Select is really had to pop up on curbs. Do the Bob's tires have to be pumped? I don't want a stroller where you had to pump tires and you don't have to pump them on the City Select.

I got a City Select. I will have a newborn and a 2 1/2 year old. I don't run so a Bob Duallie wouldn't have made much sense. i do walk around the neighborhood a lot and a double Bob would be two wide for the sidewalks in my hood. I preferred a tandem and the many configuration of the select. Which one would fit better in your car if you plan to use it away from home?

I think the Bob is going to be easier to push, and if you are outdoors a lot, is prob a better option. Your older LO is old enough (if she is cooperative) to walk next to you in a store while you use a single stroller, or you could get a buggy board for one of your singles for when you will be indoors.

@mrsjyw: I'm not an avid runner but I am an avid walker and we do have trails and such around where we live that I go on!!
@anbanan15: we checked them out in the store and what I liked about City Select was the tandem aspect but it's so heavy, like if both kids are it in you can't pop it up on the curb because it's so weighted down. The BOB has better maneuverability for sure but then I'm worried about the width of it.....being too wide for everyday use.

Can you test them out in the store and see which one handles better when you maneuver like you would in stroller strides?

We don't use our stroller so skipped checking getting a double, but when I looked into them I preferred a tandem over a side-by-side, however the 3 wheel design on the BOB I think would be better for you and a side by side may be easier to maneuver as I have heard some tandems are hard to push.

Are you an avid runner? I'd get the city select double if I wasn't. If I was a daily runner, I'd get the bob! (outside of stroller strides)

Background info:
1. I will have a 2.5 year old and a newborn
2. Currently have an UB Cruz and Single BOB and UB G-Luxe and not planning on getting rid of any of them (mostly because they are in great condition and I have a younger sister in childbearing age who might want to use one! :silly: )
3. We plan on having a third (probably same spacing between 2 and 3 as 1 and 2)
4. We live in the suburbs of Southern CA and are outdoors a lot.
5. I did Stroller Strides with my first and plan on doing it again with the second.
6. The older LO is pretty good at walking but will still sit in the stroller when tired.
7. I can only pick one stroller!

I know there are other double options....but if you HAD to choose one or the other of what I have listed, which one would you pick for me?
