As a nanny one of the families I worked for had one with a motion sensor to open it, and I really liked that. I agree about hating having to open a door/drawer. Plus those are usually so tiny. Brushed stainless steel so it matches the kitchen and looks fairly smart (as far as bins go!) and is easy peasy to open. It's a trash can made to sort recycling with 3 separate compartments with 3 separate foot pedals. My hands are always messy and the last thing I want to do is try to open a cabinet or drawer. How do you keep those things clean?!? I get the appeal for having the trash tucked away and not having to look at a trash can, but I would die without my foot pedal! </p>
