The big deciding factor, I believe, was that he looked at some testing on Consumer Reports about how long the various physical sunscreens actually stayed on when in the water and decided this was the best one. And I like that it rubs in fairly easily for a physical sunscreen. It rubs in well for a mineral sunscreen. It still looks super chalky on my LO's dark skin and I don't think it is as water resistant as chemical based sunscreen.</p> <p>I tried Aveeno Baby (the broad spectrum chemical based one) and I think it irritated her eczema and it also seemed to wash off in the pool.</p> <p>Blue Lizard Sport is what we are using right now. It's both mineral and chemical based but I think it has less chemicals and so it doesn't seem to irritate LO's skin very much. I like babyganics the best. It's the easiest to apply. Badger &amp; thinkbaby aren't that bad, they just take a few more passes to rub in. Honest co is the worst, it's so hard to rub in and it's so greasy!
