honestly if it weren't for drooling, i wouldn't have even known both kids were teething. and olive barely even drooled. they both got all their teeth really fast. maybe just lucky or maybe i just never attributed anything to teething!

Lo is 4 months old and her bottom teeth are about to pop through. We can see the start of one. She has had red cheeks, drooling, diaper rash---like really bumpy, awful sleep, runny nose. We got the hyland's teething tablets and we gave her some Tylenol the nights it's been really bad.

@Mrs. Sunshine: My LO cut her first teeth 2 weeks ago - 3 days before her 5-month birthday!

Looking back, she had been gnawing on books a lot. I noticed she wasn't so frantic about getting them in her mouth after the teeth popped through. 3 days before they cut, her sleep went to crap. Went from 5-6 hours at a time to up every 1.5 hours. Drool changed from spittle with lots of bubbles, to a clear sheet that just coated her chin. She was super cranky the day they were coming through.

DD cut her first two teeth this week (finally! She's 9.5 months old) and I honestly didn't know anything was going on until I felt the teeth after they'd already cut through. Looking back now though, she was kind of fussy for a couple days and what made me feel in her mouth in the first place was that she woke up early from a nap and was crying hysterically which is very unusual.

Since then, I've been giving her Hyland's teething tablets sometimes during the day and we gave her Advil before bed for a couple nights. She also wears an amber teething necklace...don't know if it does anything, but I'm not going to take it off!

Hopefully the rest of her teething journey will be equally uneventful.

@swedishfish: @Blueberry: I have been trying to determine if DD is teething. She's been extra drooly, fussy & basically wants her pacifier all day when usually she only sleeps with it, on top of pretty wrecked sleep patterns. But she's only 5 months so I just don't know. It's wearing on us both for sure!

We're smack in teething hell right now and she's got a runny nose, cough, fever that ranges from 99-101, doesn't want to eat, fussy, and tonight screamed for over an hour straight. We're just now getting her to sleep at almost 10.

I hate teething.

Fussiness, drooling, BAD diaper rash, slight fever, etc. She has pretty much been teething for months. Pediacare is her friend as well as an ice teething ring.

DS cut his first tooth last week and I can see another one trying to make its way through. DS is not enjoying this at all! He is refusing most food and he's extra fussy. He went a couple of days where he had a fever of 101 that came and went. It's breaking my heart to see him this uncomfortable. :( please tell me this will pass!
What did your LO go through when teething? How did you soothe him/her?
