I stress about this so much! LO's room gets a lot of afternoon sun so once its over 70 degrees outside then his room is 75+. It gets up to 80 sometimes. We don't have AC. I always debate about what to have him wear because even if its super hot when he goes down, it can get pretty chilly at night. ugh.

I know they say the risk of SIDS goes way down after 1 year old, but to help reduce the risk its recommended keeping the room between 68-72.

We don't have an A/C unit in DS's room and the one from ours doesn't cool his room much. Right now it's 77F in his room, but the ceiling fan and table fan make it feel cooler. He sleeps in just a onesie, but like @bao, I might just have him wear his diaper if it feels too warm.

We live in NM but even though it's blazing hot during the day, since it's the desert, it's cool at night. We don't have AC but run a fan in his room when it's hot. Today it was 88 during the day but his room is probably 73 right now thanks to our adobe house. He is sleeping in 2 piece Jammie's - short sleeve top and pant bottoms. He has blankets but mostly just cuddles them.

DS wears a onesie with a sleep sack.

We have the problem of it being warm when she goes to bed and cooling off overnight. When she goes to sleep, it's often 22 (72F) but then cools to 18 (65F) by morning. So I've been putting her in cotton pjs (long sleeve) and a very light sleepsack. She's been sleeping fine, so I guess it's working.

Of course DS' room is the coldest in winter and warmest in summer. Just our luck! :P

We keep it at 76-78, sometimes it's even hit 80 when he first goes down. We just dress him down and watch the temps til we go to bed either monitoring the fan/window/ac...

Since LO is too young to sleep with a blanket we have our thermostat set between 74-76 in the summer here. With the fan on low in her room it ranges from usually 69-74 in there. Typically I see it go between 70 and 72. When she can use blankets we'll probably keep it the same and dress her lighter- right now it's footed PJ's and socks under it. (In the winter we layered a onesie and socks under it and used fleece, now we use cotton. But we're also in FL so it's never super cold... always hot, always in AC!)

My toddler is like me and likes cooler temps! The max temp his room gets at night is 72 (try to keep it at 70) and he sleeps in a onesie and sleepsack. I can't sleep if it is higher than 72 in the bedroom.

My LO will wake up from being too warm in that!!! When it's that warm she's in shorts and t shirt Jammie with the ceiling fan on. We're not quite ready to turn the AC on yet. And DH still needs to put the ductwork in the main living area back together.

We don't have AC so her room gets pretty warm, probably 80's? We bought a fan and that helps though. She wears just a light t-shirt to bed and diaper.

Our upstairs is always way hotter than the downstairs - kids rooms are probably 78-80 degrees in the summer - they sleep in shorts/shirt and that's it!
Ceiling fans are on!

It's 73 in her room now. We've been in the 80s (I think) lately and I have our A/C on because I get way too hot at night otherwise. I have her in a cotton footed sleeper and she seems fine.

In the summer time, what's the temperature in your LO's room and what does s/he wear?

It's been in the low to mid 90's lately here and I keep the thermostat at 76 upstairs, but I'm wondering if that's too warm for DS? He sleeps in a cotton footed pajama or a two piece cotton pajama with no footed coverings. No sleep sacks either. It gets up to 116-120 here in the summer - sizzle!
