I'm 30 weeks and I get the same thing every few days. Like a sudden light stabbing from the outside. I'm always looking for my attacker. I never really thought about it long enough to wonder what it was since I feel fine afterwards.

Sounds like round ligament pain. Typically it manifests along the sides of your uterus or rib cage, but occasionally mine will hit right around the navel, just like you experienced!

@autumnlove: I just clarified my post but it felt like someone poked me from the outside ( like in my muscles--well, whatever I have of those. :silly: )

Sounds like you have an active and strong baby in there! Some movement from LO 2was kinda painful...I think she was stretching out!

I am 28 weeks and was out walking with my husband when I felt like someone (not the baby) had painfully poked me super hard near the belly button from the outside. It took my breath away and I gasped loudly and scared DH. Baby boy is kicking away so I know he's fine.
Please tell me this is normal and maybe just an aggressive form of stretching or something.
