I take 3 temp readings in a row and usually they're right around the same range so I feel confident in the readings. the best part is that my son doesn't mind me taking his temp anymore. it literally takes like 3-4 seconds. I do try to make sure I wipe the sensor before we use it. I haven't really noticed it being low. You have to keep the sensor clean and know the right technique to get an accurate reading, but even then sometimes the temp won't correlate with symptoms. I suppose a lot of thermometers out there are like that, but it seems moreso with temporal ones in my experience. </p> <p>Anyway, we also have a Braun ear thermometer and I prefer it.
