I get home around 6:30 (off at 6) and hope to fix it where I come in an hour earlier and get off at 5 once LO is here. DH works irregular hours so he'll get home anywhere between 6 and 1 in the morning, or will work from home or have the day off -- depending on what he's covering for the paper.

Right now, we don't have kids, and our schedules can be crazy. I have a new job, and most days I work 8:30am-6:30pm, but it's gone as long as 8pm. DH has a busy season, and during that time (8 months out of the year) he works very long days and travels a lot. On the off season, he works from home and has a light schedule.

When we have LOs, I would like to be a more flexible position or perhaps be a SAHM. I know DH would like to not work so much when we have kids, too, but one of us will probably have to have a busier schedule.

I'm home by 5:30 every night unless there's OT and there's been twice so far I really had to work super fast to get out still a bit late.
My husband works till 9 a minimum of 2 nights a week. But he's off Wednesdays and Sundays. Which is nice because Wednesday's are daddy/daughter days. The rest of the week it's anywhere between 3-6pm.

We're out the door by 8am so I can get to work on time.

We usually leave around 7:45 and get home around 5:30. Our commute is about 12-20 minutes, depending on traffic. I'm in public accounting so from January - April, I leave home around 7:15 and get home around 7 at the earliest, usually closer to 8.

hubby is military so he works 6:15am to ... anywhere from noon (no joke) to 8pm, to the next morning. weekdays)
in the next few months he will switch to 2days on, 2days off, with 12+ hour days.
me... i leave the house at 6 30am and get home at 6 30pm or so (yuck!). have not figured out how this will work when baby comes.

I typically get home between 4:30 and 5:00 thanks to a 45 minute commute. Once that ends (next week!) I should be home by 4. Since my husband works on call and can get called any time he also gets home at random times. Typically I don't plan on seeing him until 12 hours after he leaves but there are times were he gets stuck staying the night and isn't home for 2-3 days. Other times he'll have an amazingly fast trip and be home in 3 hours. No way to tell. Ever.

My DH works in the restaurant biz so his shift are at all different times. Sometimes he is home at 5, 9 or 10p.
I work at a biotech company, my hours are generally 8-9 hrs long, so I'll work a 9-6 or 10-7 on days im in the office. Although when I'm in the lab, my hours are much longer since my studies are about 14 + hours long. Sometimes I get home after 10p and sometimes much later. :/

I work 3 days a week, and on those days Rob Sr. and I commute together, with our hours being 8:15-4:15 and we pick up and drop off RJ at daycare together. The other two days I'm home and Rob Sr. usually works 9-5. We both luckily work at very family-centric places (academia and museum).

i work the normal 9-5 but due to taking the kids to daycare I go in btwn 10-10:30 and then I try to leave by 5:30 if there is work to be done I'll do after the kids are sleeping but my commute is 1.5 hrs each way. My husband picks up the kids at 2:30 and goes to work and gets home before 3am.
I agree weekends are precious family time, but hubby works sunday making Saturdays & vacations even more precious!

I work 8:30 to 4:00 and live less than 10 minutes from the office, so I'm usually home by 4:15 (and I go home for lunch every day). My husband is usually gone by 7:30 a.m. and home by around 6:30/7:00 p.m.

I'm really glad that my hours will be compatible with daycare/school drop-off and pick-up times once we have children.

Before we had a baby we used to work 9a to 6:30-7p and we only lived 35 minutes from work. Now we leave 1 h 15 m from work and I leave work at 5 to pick J up at 6:15 and get home at 6:30. My husband gets home at like 7:15. I really really wish our commutes weren't so long but I guess a lot of people that live in the suburbs of manhattan have to deal with this :(

My commute is about 30 minutes - 1 hour depending on the time of year. I usually leave at 8am and get home at 6pm. Hubby works about 45 minutes away and leaves at 730am and gets home at 6pm. This summer was crazy and we've had many late nights.

I work from home once a week and I'm hoping to increase that once we have lil ones.

He works from home about 2x a week which is great. His office is pretty flexible. I don't know what its going to be like when we have minis, I'm looking forward to finding out =)
