We usually get her tub started between 7-7:30 so that she's done her nightime routine and in bed by 8pm at the latest.

We base it off last nap. After last nap, I give him some naked tummy time and then it's into the bath time.

I am 24 and still prefer baths over showers anyday, so relaxing. I can take one any time of the day. When I get off work in 1.5 hrs I will be taking a bath and then falling asleep.

@Andrea: We did DD in the big tub and DS in the infant tub at the same fime for the first fewmonths, but switched to DS in the big tub at 6 and DD at 6:30 when DS outgrew his little tub. Now I get in the big tub with him every night and it just gets kind of crowded if we throw DD into the tub with us. I take both kids into the tub with me when DH is working late,.but it is a little crowded. I figure once DS can go in the big tub by himself (,maybe 9 months?) I'll just put the kids in together at the same time.

@Andrea: we put the infant tub in the big tub (and we don't fill the big tub). So Wagon Jr. stands outside the infant tub, but inside the big tub, on a non-slip mat. We hose him down, then he helps us with the shampoo and soap, then we hose him down again. As they get older, the more they can do independently the better!! But of course you have to get all the nasty areas like behind the ears, the feet, the butt... since they're not all that thorough ;)

@mrs. wagon: @mrbee: ok, I was planning on having the older one in the big tub and the baby outside in the infant tub at first. I should really start training my older one to wash herself. She does it sometimes but I should just start making that a habit because I am gonna be doing bedtime by myself most of the time. So if I only really had to bathe the baby then that would help.

@Andrea: what she said!

Also Charlie takes a bath in the tub but Olive still uses a small floor bath thingy. When Olive is in the tub, it's hard for her since she can't really stand consistently yet.

@Andrea: We do the baths separately because it's easier and quicker when we divide and conquer. But we have done the baths together and it's gone pretty ok (except we have to teach Wagon Jr. to not splash water into LMW's face!). Just less space in the bathroom to navigate when all four of us are in there. But I think you can totally do bathtime with two alone, as long as your older one can follow directions to wait for you as you're lifting baby in and out of the tub, etc. Or if you have someone there to help, for them to take the older one out of the way after the bath is done. At least while the baby is still little.

@mrbee: @mrs. wagon: I guess your older kids must sleep later than the babies but I am wondering why you can't do baths for both at the same time? I am gonna be doing bedtime for 2 soon and it seems like it would be easier for me to do them together by myself?

LMW's bath starts between 5:30 and 5:45. Wagon Jr.'s bath starts between 6:30 and 7. Both are short and sweet! We sometimes refer to Wagon Jr.'s bath as a prison-style shower. We suds him up then hose him down, and it's over.

8. She doesn't stay in there long at all. She'll play for a couple of minutes, but we're all so tired by that time that we just wash her, let her play for a couple of minutes, and get her out.

Olive starts her bath around 6 pm... Charlie starts at 7:30 pm.

Olive's bath is pretty short, but Charlie's can go for half an hour or more! But sometimes he just doesn't want to be in the bath, and it will be just 5 minutes or so.
