Mine was very much like that in the early months. It worked great for us since through the summer we could only walk the dog at night due to the heat. He started to go to bed earlier and earlier as he dropped naps and started becoming more active.

Even now at 2 years, he's still a bit of a night owl. We aim for a bedtime between 8-9. Tonight he's a little off since he has a cold and napped longer, so he's just winding down at 10pm and has been hanging out in his crib playing for the past hour.

I think people forget what nighttime was like during that stage because it passes so quickly. That sounds about where our son was at 10 weeks. As he got older and started sleeping even longer and having a more set schedule, he slowly moved to an 8PM bedtime. I think he was probably around 4 months when that happened.

When DD was that age she was going to bed around 9:30/10. She's almost 5 months now and goes to sleep around 8/8:30. Although I'm lucky to get a 4-5 hour stretch!

When DS was about your LOs age, he didn't go to bed until like 10 or 11. we finally got him to 9, but when DH work schedule changed, and he got home and hour earlier, DS moved his bedtime up an hour earlier by himself.
at 20 months, DS goes to bed at 8pm
at 5 months, DD goes to bed at 7:30pm
we try to get them both to go down at the same time, but DD just isn't having it. they get up within a half hour of each other though every morning.

8.5 months, 7:00. Been that way since maybe 4 months? But it was 10 or 11 for a while before that. Lately it seems like she could go to bed even earlier, but it just doesn't work for us.

LO is 10 weeks and goes down for the night around 10 pm and typically sleeps until 8 am or so with a wake up around 4. I read somewhere that it's normal for young infants to go to bed between 9 and 11 and around 6 months, will move their bedtime earlier.

When LO was around 1-2.5 months, it was anywhere around 8-9:30. Now its somewhere between 7 and 8pm. Once they drop to three naps, its much easier to predict when a good bedtime for them is.

@tillma: My LO just recently started going to bed successfully between 7:30-8:00. He's 6 months old. Prior to that, he was going to bed at 11. I think that's totally normal! I enjoyed the later bedtime in the beginning because I'd just go to sleep when he slept. But now, it's nice to have evening me time.

7:30 at 4 months (with 4 wakeups by 8 AM). 7 hours would be heaven. I's be afraid to change it in case it jinxes it.

@tillma: same here! LO refuses to go down earlier than 9. Usually by the time we are done nursing and then rocking its close to 10:30 when he sleeps. But he STTN for 9 hrs so can't complain. We tried to move up his schedule but it didn't work...hopefully he will adjust as he gets older (now just almost 4 mos)

At that age, it was around 8:30-9:00. Now it's 6:45-7:00 pm. I'd have been thrilled if mine slept 7 hours straight (in fact, I'm still thrilled when it happens) so I'd just enjoy it and let your LO lead, bedtime will eventually move back!

LO used to go bed around 10:30/11. When I say that, we would start her routine early, like around 7 or 8, bp but she wouldn't stay down for the night until then. Now, at 3 months, she starts her bath around 7 pm and is asleep by 8:30-9 pm.

DD is almost six months. We start her bedtime routine around 8, and she's usually down for the evening no later than 10. We'd love to get her down earlier, but my husband doesn't return home until 7, so we're usually prepping dinner, and winding down around the usual baby bedtime. Our setup allows for her to sleep in, so she's still able to get a full 10-11 hours. She will occasionally get sleepy earlier on, and we just follow her cues. For example, last night she slept from 7:30-7:00. Not complaining!

LO is 8 weeks old and he normally goes to bed around 9:00. Last night, he fell asleep at 8:00, but then woke up to eat at 10:30. When he goes to bed around 9, he sleeps until 2-3am, then back to sleep until 6ish and then up for the day around 8. I'm enjoying the 9:00 bedtime right now especially because I'm going back to work next week and I'm glad to have some time with him in the evenings.

What time does your LO go to bed? DS is ten weeks old and goes to bed at eleven and then sleeps seven hours straight. We have tried to get him to fall asleep earlier ( because it would work better for our schedule) but he is like clockwork falling asleep at eleven despite our efforts. I have been getting a lot of comments lately about what a late bedtime LO has and was just wondering how normal this is? We were just thrilled to have a baby sleep that long and weren't overly concerned with what time that occurred!
