In the winter we were doing 7pm to 7am, now that the sun sets later we're doing 8pm to 8am. I never put LO down any earlier because I don't want to get up early in the morning; if he's really tired he just gets a bonus nap in the late afternoon.

@regberadaisy: When I say slept through I mean from 7pm to 5:30am. I felt like that Saturday morning when she woke me up at 5:30. She usually goes back to sleep after that too. She normally gets up at 2-3 to eat and then takes another at 5-5:30, so I was in heaven. She slept like that 2 nights and then slept until 4-4:30 the past 2. It's been 4 nights now that's she's skipped that 2am feed.

@regberadaisy: heh yeah. I remember the first month just dreading night time because I knew it would always be a long, tiring night and I'd always be exhausted. My husband was SO helpful though and every night he took at least one shift so that I could sleep 3 consecutive hours. I wouldn't have survived without his help.

@zippylef: I am SO jealous. Last night was like the third time she went down for a 3hr stretch. I feel like a new woman!!! When you say slept through the night do you mean she didn't even wake up to feed? How long?

My LO is uber fussy and has slept 12 hrs waking only to feed once!
I look forward to the days where I can consistently get 3hrs or +!

@Coco Bee: Well, it helps that she is predominately formula fed. I actually didn't do anything besides set a strict bedtime. She did it all on her own. She slept through the night for the first time this weekend at 7 1/2 weeks. She started sleeping a 6 hour stretch at night at 2 1/2 weeks old. It's just how she rolls.

I want him to wake only 1-2 times to eat but it doesn't happen.

Usually I can get him to bed by 10pm. It is so hot here, we go for a late evening walk with the dog before bed, so usually by the time that is done, we get him changed, into pj's, and nursed before bed. He then usually sleeps anywhere until 6 and 8:30am.

DS goes to bed between 7:30-8pm but has always woken up around 5:30-6am. I'm fine with it usually, even though 8 would be perfect! He use to wake up around 8 before he was 6 months old but that was with him waking up a few times a night.

My son always sleeps a good 12-13 hours. His bedtime is usually 7:30-8pm but sometimes on the weekend it's a little later. This weekend he had a 9pm bedtime and a 10pm, and both times he still slept over 12 hours!
On a normal weekday he sleeps until 8:30. I think it's the perfect time and I love getting up at that time. I never wanted the baby that got up between 6-7am. I hope he never regresses into that!
