At that age, my son was still napping twice per day. His first nap would start around 9am for 1.5-2 hours and his second would start around 1 or 2pm for another 1.5-2 hours. And he would still STTN 12 hours! We dropped him down to 1 nap per day at 23 months because he started daycare at 24 months and they only did one nap. FWIW, he was the WORST sleeper until he turned 1. Very short naps and 3-4+ wake ups every single night! So I let the napping go on as long as possible to make up for it.

At daycare she naps 12-2:30 but I'm not sure she's actually asleep that whole time.

At home its more like 12:30/1:00 then she naps anywhere from 1-2 hours.

She only gets about 10-11hrs of sleep overnight but she's always had low sleep needs. Bedtime is 730/800 - 630/700am.

How much sleep has he typically needed since infancy?

My son is 21 months and he currently naps from 1:30-3:30....give or take an hour. He's usually in bed by 8pm and sleeps through the night to 8am. He used to nap 11:30-2, which honestly I liked much better, but he's with my Mom most of the week, and that schedule didn't work well for her. My husband drops our son off with my Mom at 11:30am each day, they play for a bit, have lunch, play a little more, and then it's naptime. He adjusted quickly to this schedule.

My LO has been doing the same. All of a sudden she doesn't sleep past 6:45 (maybe 2-3x/month) and is ready for a nap earlier. However, she's not extremely fussy about it. Well, she's not fussy as long as she's around other people (ie. not just me). She's always been incredibly flexible, so we put her down anywhere between 11:30-2, depending on what's going on that day. Sometimes later.

Mmmm DS wakes up at around 7, goes down for nap usually around 11, then wakes up around 1 or 2, then bedtime is sometime between 7 and 8. We've had morning wake-ups pushed up and bedtime pushed back due to the lengthening of days. Maybe J is adjusting to all the sunlight?

My son was on two naps until about 20 months, but when he went down to one, it usually began around 12:30 and lasted until 3. There were some days though when it went later....my son is crap nighttime sleeper, so don't put too much stock into his long day time naps.

At daycare, naptime is at noon. That's a little early for us though and he is usually ready closer to 1. He goes to bed at 8pm and gets up at 8am. On days where he wakes up at 7am, he is ready for a nap closer to noon. Basically, he wants a nap about 5 hours after he wakes up.

My son took one nap from about 1-3 from 15-20 months. Two Fridays ago he woke up fussy and I swear he hasn't stopped fussing since! He seems to wan to nap earlier, like around 11:30. He's also waking up earlier. Used to be in the 8s, now in the 7s.

I think he is possibly sleep deprived (although he gets 14 or so hours a day I think he gets to bed too late). But DH manages bedtime while I work and it is hard for him to get him down before 8:30. We are going to talk about it. LO has been stormy all day long!
