@heartonastring: DS is 6 months old, so he wakes for the day around 6-6:30 am and takes his morning nap 2 hours later around 8-10 am.

I agree the first year is tough with activities because of that morning nap!

At 4 months it was like 9-11 and then switched to 10-12. But yeah... timing of daytime activities is stupid. :(

Ive noticed that now, stuff seems to get scheduled at 11-12 a lot and C takes her nap from 12-2/3. It sucks.

@heartonastring: we have the exact same problem. LO is 9 months and naps 9-10:30ish and then 2-3:30ish and the moms group and all kids activities are at 10. Sometimes we just show up late :/ I think it's geared towards kids that are on one nap who usually nap 12-3 - and then after 3 is too late if parents have older school age kids. It sucks!!

Lo is 7.5 months and her morning nap goes from 9:00-10:30. Sounds like we'd be missing out of those activities too. :(

LO is 6 months and has the same schedule as yours. We have kiddie classes here that start around that time, and another session for 12:30 so I do those. Maybe check with some other organizations that may offer more times. Do you have classes with your parks department? Those have the most time options for me.

I'm kind of frustrated, as it seems that every single activity for moms and babies in my community takes place at 9:30 or 10:00 a.m. This invariably conflicts with DD's morning nap. And if she misses her morning nap her sleep is screwed up for the whole day (and she won't nap away from home), so I'm never able to sign up for anything :(

It must work for other people though if they continue to offer things at that time? Am I the odd one out?!

DD is four months old and generally wakes up for the day between 7:15 and 7:45. Her first nap usually starts around 9 and goes until 11-ish.

What time does your infant nap in the morning?
