When mine was your age she got up between 9-10. As she's slept better at night with fewer MOTN wakeups, she wakes earlier and earlier. At almost a year, she goes to bed at 8 and is up 6:30-7:30 (with one quick wakeup at 4-5 AM).

Ugh. LO has always had an early bedtime and early wakeup... She goes down around 6:00-6:30, and is up around 4:30-5:30... I used to reeeeally be able to bring her in bed and get another hour or so, but now that she's sleeping SO much better at night (0-1 wakeup), she's usually just ready to go. Trying to figure out how to push it... :/

8 AM, give or take 30 minutes.

J has always been a pretty lousy napper, but an awesome STTN-er. These days, we put him to bed around 7:30 PM, he hangs out singing and babbling in his crib until around 8, and then he zonks out until around 8 the next morning. He started doing that 7 PM-7 AM around 5 months, then just gradually pushed it later.

I am praying hard that our next LO sleeps this well too.

My dd is 6 months and has always woken up for the day between 7-9. When she moved her bedtime from 9 to 7 that didn't change. When she woke to eat in the MoTN changes at times but we can always get her back to sleep until at least 7.

My sisters 4 year old has always woken up for the day around 5...that hasn't changed!

DS has just recently started STTN most of the time, and since then he wakes at 5 - 5.30 most days, and is chirpy and ready to go! Sometimes he treats us to 6am. He is 7.5 months and goes to bed between 7 and 7.30. He's always been a fairly early bird (never really started the day later than 7.30), but not this early!

DS1 was always an early riser. He started out between 5-6 and pushed that to later as he got older. Now at almost 2, he usually wakes up around 7 give or take 30 minutes or so.

DS2 is 13 weeks old and wakes up around 7:30 to 8 usually. He just naturally wakes up later.

7-8am was her normal wake up time when she was under 6 months (due to multiple nightwakings and not STTN). She's had early waking phases here and there (5/5:30am), but those usually only lasted 2 weeks at most and were temporary. She's 21 months now and her usual wake up time is 6:30-7am, depending on bedtime, and it's been this way since she was probably 12 months, give or take.

12 weeks is still very young, so it is likely your LO will change schedule quite a bit more. At 10 months, my LO goes to bed around 7pm and usually wakes once between 5 and 6am to nurse, then goes back to sleep and is up for the day between 7am and 8am. At 12 weeks, her waketimes (and naps) were all over the place, but she was usually awake by 5am.

Not sure if you have these already, but blackout curtains made a big difference for us (along with her just getting older and better at sleeping).

My LO is 12 weeks old. He usually gets up between 7:20-8:45am. I am not complaining at all! I am so not a morning person. I am just curious if this is "normal" and if it will change as his bedtime moves up. I've read that every baby has a natural tendency to either wake up early or not, and it's really hard to change that (so I guess I have a LO that doesn't wake up early!).
Currently I put him to bed around 8-8:30pm and it seems to be working for us right now. Pretty soon I will be moving his bedtime to 7:30-8, I think, so I wonder if he'll be waking up earlier as well? Also, he doesn't have any sort of schedule for naps AT ALL (currently our biggest struggle), other than me trying all day to put him to sleep, so I guess wake up time could also change once he is on a more predictable nap schedule?
