@travellingbee: Mine too and it drives me crazy! Last night she was up until after 10:30 and we needed to be out of the house by 9:30 am for speech therapy.

LO is 3.5 and goes to bed at 9. She wakes up between 7:30 and 8. I wish she would go to bed earlier but she won't!

@NovBaby1112: yeah I think i need to do that! It's just tough because DH gets home around 6, so that totally winds LO up. would almost be easier to do bedtime solo every night and have him just get home after LO is in bed (except that would also suck! :silly: )

6-6:30 on a bad day, 630-7 on a good day. I've gotten a lot of flack for 6 being "too early" but I don't think there's a one size fits all for kids, and she NEEDS to be in bed early. she's up earlier, but so be it..it's just how she is! haha.

I start to get her ready for bed by 6 (books, brushing teeth, etc) and she's always asleep by 6:30pm and sleeps until 6:30ish. I would definitely do a little earlier and see if it helps!

6/6:30 pm. DH has never seen the kids at night, but I value their sleep too much to keep them up any later. They sleep 12-13 hours so they clearly need the sleep!

8 -- but it somewhat depends on what time he wakes for the day. If he wakes at 7 or later, then it's 8. If it's before 7, he'll easily fall asleep before 8.

@jmarionsmith: I guess for us, LO wakes up at the same time regardless of when he goes to bed, so at least if he goes to bed earlier, he gets more sleep overall!

Supposedly 730, (she'll be 4 in two weeks), but often that ends up being later, and she won't fall asleep until 830. Last night it was 9. Honestly, I think it was to do with how busy a day she had. Yesterday was a snow day, and we stayed inside all day, so she had tons of energy at bedtime.

Last night my 3.5 year old was literally begging (so unheard of for him) to go to bed at 6:30. I managed to keep him up until 7:30, I just can't imagine what time he'd wake up the next morning if he went to bed at 6:30! It is weird though, because on days he doesn't nap he goes to bed earlier than his sister, who is two years younger!

@hilsy85: we'll probably push bedtime to 7pm when we spring forward. the kids have shutters in their bedrooms that do a pretty good job at blocking out the light!

@sslm: gah! Thats awful...kind of the worst of both worlds, late bedtime and early wakeup!

@yoursilverlining: also not a lot of sleep! I hate when I KNOW LO hasn't gotten enough sleep but won't sleep in :(

@chopsuey: see I wonder if I need to do that...but 6pm would be so hard for us. Plus DH would never see him. What do you do in the summer when it's still light out?

I have a hard time getting LO to sleep before 8:30, no matter what time we start the bedtime process. Usually it's more like 9pm. She wakes up between 6:45-7:15. I'd really like her to be asleep by 8pm.

She still naps at daycare, and goes to bed at 8pm. On the weekends, or vacations, etc. she doesn't nap and still goes to bed at 8pm, sigh. Maybe 7:45pm if we're lucky. She's usually up for the day around 6:30. She's never needed much sleep.

7ish - she's also tired and done by about 4pm on weekends, and when she gets home most nights from daycare (she still occasionally sleeps 45 mins or so at daycare).

She's always been an early riser - up between 5:45 and 6:30 every day.

We have been putting LO (3y4m) to bed around 7pm, and he usually wakes up between 6:30 and 7am. However, he is EXHAUSTED by the end of the night, like major tantruming and just DONE. I'm wondering if we should have him in bed by 6:30, or even earlier? When does your non-napping kid go to bed?
