I have planned 43 baby showers (between being a military spouse, FRG treasurer, and a teacher, it seems showers are constant! 😉😊). To respond- Protocol states that if you are only serving appetizers, snack salads, and dessert teasers (or cupcakes/a cake), generally, one would have such an event in between set mealtimes such as a bunch shower (10-12 am) or a mid-afternoon "tea-time" shower (1-3 pm). With that stated, it is nearly 2019 so, basically anything goes. 😉 Consider your food choices for the time of day, as well as, the party "theme" (* besides baby shower, is it coastal baby [afternoonish], tea baby [teatime], denim [afternoon], woodsy [late afternoon], baby animal [towards morning], etc), and when the mama becomes the most fatigued (is she a morning no-go or mid-day crash-out? A dozy by 3 pm?).
