DS1 is 2.5 and DS2 is 10.5 months. Bedtime starts with bath at 6:45 and never ends. Kidding (sorta). DS2 is asleep just after 7 and DS1 is done with 30 minutes of wheels on the bus and hopefully out by 8:15. They both wake up 5:45-6ish.... Bedtime has gotten later in the summer, it's just so light out. I am sure it will get earlier again with the fall.

@lilyofthewest: We do a 7 pm bedtime for our 9 month old and 7:30 pm bedtime for our 5 year old. I have to leave work around 5:15 and am home a few minutes before 6 (kids are home with a nanny so no pickup which helps a lot). Our dinners are either slow cooker meals or super quick to prep ones. We bathe only 2-3 times per week (one of those being on the weekend). Bedtime is 2 books and is fairly quick. It's a race against the clock every night but DH and I are a good team working in tandem. I need that early bedtime to log back on to do more work.

I have an almost 5 year old, 3 year old, and 10 month old. I nurse the baby still and he falls asleep quickly but I usually snuggle with him until his noisy brothers are in bed, around 8. My oldest usually goes right to sleep. Middle lo can have a tough time falling asleep if his nap goes late so usually 8:30-9:00. He wakes up around 6-6:30, oldest is up 7-7:30, baby anytime from 6-8.

DS is 20 months. We walk out basically at 7:30 and he usually falls right asleep. He wakes up at 6 am and cries for us to get him.

@lilyofthewest: This is our struggle too! DH gets the boys from day care around 5:45, but if I work in the city that day, I don't get home until 6:30. There's no way we could do dinner, bath, and bed by 7/7:30.

Because of the above, our almost 5 year old and almost 2 year old go to bed around 8:30/9. The almost 2 year old has an easier routine once bath is done. He gets a few books, lights out and sung to, and we put him in his crib and leave.

The almost 5 year old stalls us, so he's usually not in bed until 9. Both fall asleep pretty quickly, and they wake up between 7-8 depending on if I work from home that day or not.

My kids go to bed around 7:45 (18 months) and at 8:15 (almost 4). They wake up around 7 am. I can't do a bedtime earlier than about 7:45 without adjusting my work hours. I usually get home at 6:30 and we have dinner pretty much right away (DH has it prepared). Then we might have a little downtime before we start the bedtime routine, usually at 7:25. My hours are flexible, but I have a high need for sleep.

@lilyofthewest: To do a 7:30 bedtime, I leave the office at 4. If I had to leave at 5, commute and then have dinner, bedtime for sure would be later, probably 8:30. To leave at 4, I do early mornings, I try to be at my desk by 7:30.

@bluestriped bee: before my kiddo started doing a lot of classes and whatnot, she went to bed at like 930. My husband works late pretty often so he could come home at 9 and see her before she went to bed. She slept enough so it didn't matter.

Now that we have places to be at 9 am, her bedtime is 830 (she is almost 4). She wakes up at 630/645 and naps in the afternoon still. 8 month old baby goes to bed between 7-730 and wakes up for the day at 5 😭😭😭. I wish the baby would go to bed later but she won't so at least we are on time to stuff in the morning.

DS is 3 in about a month. For a long time it was 7 on the nose. Like honestly his whole life and if it wasn't it was earlier (like a bad nap day).
In the last month his nap has been getting later so bedtime is now at 8pm most nights. On one hand, its been nice to have freedom especially in the summer/on vacation. But on the other, when its just me on a weeknight and I'm 8 weeks pregnant and feel awful/tired, I miss 7pm bedtime.

ETA: not sure exactly when he wakes up, sometime around 7/7:30, probably some days a little earlier. but we won't get him before 7am. He'll usually stay happily in his crib till 7:30.

5yo we aim for 7:30 and she has to stay in her room until 7 though I think she sometimes wakes a bit earlier. We use an eye mask to fight the brightness in summer for her. I'm going to try for 7pm once kinder starts since I have to wake her up at 6:30 then and I think the whole thing will tire her out.

2yo currently around 7-7:30pm, when he was younger it was earlier as that's just his natural way. Right now he sleeps until 6:30 if I'm lucky, and also takes about an hour to 1.5hr nap.

We were able to get early bedtimes when my older dropped her nap and I loooooove it.

DS 5 mos old, goes down between 6-7 pm, wakes between 5-6 am (with 2-3 wake ups)

DD 3.5 yo, out the door 845, wakes naturally between 6-7 am. I would like to bump her bedtime up but its so hard during summer when it's still light out. We start bedtime at 8-815 pm but it drags out to 845 or later most nights. We'll be starting preschool in Sept and need to be out the door at 615 am so I'm hoping bedtime naturally pushes forward so that I dont' have to "wake" her too soon from her natural wake time
