With Xander, I had very mild, intermittent contractions in the morning, but they were concrete in the afternoon and I knew I was in labor. My water broke around 1am (a trickle not a gush) and major contractions started after. Looking back though, I was probably in early labor most of the day before. I couldn't get comfortable, was having a lot of what I thought were BH contractions but we're probably the real thing.
