Hi all, just checking in with an answer to my own question! After all of my guessing, my labor timing was almost the same the second time around. LO2 was born this past Sunday (!) and like with LO1, I noticed distinct labor symptoms in the early morning hours. This time, I had a strong pain around 10:00pm the night before, slept from about 11:00pm-1:30am, and just knew that I was in labor when I woke up to use the bathroom. Again, I was in complete denial but long story short, we were off to the hospital around 4:00am and LO2 was born shortly after 8:00am!

12:30 a.m. I didn't realize it was labor until about an hour later though. Contractions started at about 15 minutes apart for about the first hour and a half then started coming closer together and stronger. I got out of bed around 2 and labored in the living room. I ended up with a c section at about 8:45 pm that night (due to lo's heart rate dropping with each contraction).

DD - 5am and water broke while sleeping. delivered early afternoon.

DS - contractions started around 6pm and ramped up in the late night. delivered early morning

pretty different!

With DD, my water broke around 9 pm. Contractions started an hour afterwards. With DS, water broke around 10 pm. Contractions started about 2.5 hours later, and were immediately 1-2 minutes apart. Much faster labor with him!

With LO1: 9:30 am
With LO2: regular contractions began around 8 am. Before that they were very sporadic so I don't count those as part of labor.

My timeable contractions started Wednesday morning around 10AM lasted all day and through the night. Then they started getting a little painful around Thursday at 5AM. Went to the hospital at 7AM Thursday, had them break my water at noon, hard labor pains then, and finally had DD at 11:10PM Thursday night. I was exhausted!

Thanks, all! It's so funny to see how varied everyone's experiences are. I'm convinced this one is going to be a very fast labor and delivery so am trying to keep my eyes open for the early signs and not ignore it like last time.

@Pumuckl: Your experience with your second sounds almost identical in timing to my first. When I woke up at around 2:30am I tried so hard to keep myself busy- took a warm shower, dried my hair (who does that in labor?!), and decided I needed to eat a bowl of cereal. I did not want to wake my husband until I knew something was going on.

I woke up about 6:30am with contractions. They weren't painful but they were timetable and felt stronger than BH I had been having. I continued going about my day and timing them and about 4pm they were at 5-1-1 and starting to ramp up. We went to the hospital and I delivered at 4:00am. It was almost 24 hours of labour but it wasn't bad at all when I was home.

With LO1 I had the first contractions at 4am, I woke my DH at 5am because then I was sure it was the real deal, mind you I was 41+2 so not too much guessing necessary. By 10am he was born.
With LO2 I noticed light contractions at around 10/11pm. I was sure it was nothing since I only was 38+3. By 2:30am after a really long hot shower didn't make them go away I was pretty sure I was in active labor. We went to the hospital at 6:30am and it took until 1:40pm until baby was there. (Although at 1:10pm I was still only 3-4cm, so it went very quickly after that).
So overall my labors were completely different except for the fact that transition/pushing is really fast for me.

Dd1 - water broke at 8am, but it wasn't an obvious break and I wasn't sure. I was sure around 9/93am when contractions stated. They were intense right off the bat. (37w5d)

Dd2- cramping started late morning but it wasn't anything obvious. They turned to obvious timeable contractions around 2pm (37w1d)

One day after my due date I felt so awful - like I was coming down with the flu or something - my body was just so tired and achy and I felt terrible. My OB had tried to schedule an induction for the next day but I asked for a few more days to see if she would come on her own and I seriously regretted it! But I went into labor later that night around 2am and headed to the hospital later that morning
