Daycare is right by DH's work, so even though her day isn't as long as some, she has a 45min + commute each way. </p> <p>It sucks. I really am better as a WOHM but the long hours at daycare kill me. DH's job doesn't have "ordinary" hours so he has lots of time during the day. DD usually has one long day per week, when she's at daycare until about 5, but most days he can pick her up by 2:30. I generally get home just in time for bath and bedtime. Sometimes I leave work earlier but that means logging on at home that night to make up the time.</p> <p>ETA: daycare is across the street from my office and DH works 4 blocks away, so we all ride in together in the mornings and there's no additional commute time. I don't have a set time I need to be in the office, and my office is on the same campus as LO's daycare, so there is no commute time to factor in. </p> <p>When I drop off at 8:30, there are always people who dropoff after us. Two little boys in M's class are dropped off around 7:15 and picked up close to 6. </p> <p>I currently do drop off and pick up, as well. My husband works 7-4 and I work 7:30-4.
