Great ideas everyone! I'm not sure why I hadn't thought about bringing stuff in the day before, or making sure most ingredients are canned. Thanks :)

Our office admin did a thing this past summer where she made lunch for everyone every Thursday, and it was almost always a buffet of kale salad with like fresh queso, nuts, quinoa, pickled onion, etc. It was amazing and everyone loved it. Salad is light for transporting in.

you can make taco soup super easily---

Brown 1 lb hamburger mean or sausage (if you want spicy) at home and transport to work in a Tupperware.

-At work, throw in the ground meat, 1 can corn, 1 can pinto beans, 1 can black beans, 1 can rotel, 1 package ranch powder, and 1 packet taco seasoning. Add a couple cans of water (using an empty bean can) and let it sit in the crock pot till lunch. Stir every 2 hours or so.

It's SO good.

This copycat Olive Garden pasta fagioli soup is always a crowd pleaser. Just cook all the meat and veg and pasta at home and throw into a Tupperware. Once you get to work, throw all the ingredients in the crockpot (minus the pasta) and let it simmer until lunch time. Add the pasta 10 minutes before lunch. You can bring the crockpot and canned stuff in the day before and stow in your office. It's great with some grated cheese and French bread.

Can you make it ahead of time, store it in a big Tupperware and then just heat it up in the crockpot? that way you don't have to worry about spilling? OR do one of those 7-can dump soups, that you can put together when you get to work instead of traveling with it, here is a recipe (I haven't tried it, but Ree normally doesn't steer me wrong ;) )

Could you team up with someone to do chili and toppings? They do the crockpot chili and you bring toppings? That would be a lot easier on you and still within the theme, so to speak.

We do a thing during the fall where people bring a crock pot of soup to share for lunch. But, I'm at a loss in what to bring. I live an hour from work and it sounds like a PITA to lug a crock pot with me.

Other ideas?

Or, share your amazing soup recipe and tell me it's worth it!
