Activity table that the legs come off so He can play with it during tummy time. My daughter will be 4.5 months and I'm getting her an outfit, cute bibs (she's a big spitter), pottery barn kids hooded towel (bigger size, not baby size my son has one and he still uses it at age 2) And probably a book.

Books are a great thing to buy and keep for a good while. Plush items are also fun and sweet. My son was 3.5 months old on his first Xmas so that's what we got him along with a jumperoo which he loved! The indestructible books are great for tiny babies who mouth everything! http://www.indestructiblesinc.com/

We are trying to go for long lasting things or things she will need later on rather then things for her age (10 months at Xmas). She's getting an umbrella stroller (more for me lol), tht snack tray for her stroller, spring clothes since she has nothing!, sippy cups, utensils, and a wooden activity cube, and a sensory board.

Lamaze and infantino make fun toys for that age. She will need teethers at some point. Books are a good choice at any age. I say keep it practical!

Lamaze toys were a big hit for us for a while! Like this one:

DS will be 5 months old at Christmas. He's a preemie, so he'll be like a baby anywhere from 2-5 months. He's all over the place developmentally. I have no idea what to get him. I'm thinking about a high chair since he will be starting solids in January. I'm asking family for plates, bowls etc. What kind of toys do babies that age like? He probably won't be sitting up for awhile. And he will probably be the size of a 2 month old. He's only 7 lbs now at 3.5 months. It's just confusing since he's so varied. He's the size of a newborn now, but acts like a 2.5 month old and can hold his head up. Anyone have any ideas?
