Yep, I have a slacker too. Actually I think it's just that the right has lots and the left is average. No advice on how to even ii out, I haven't managed it. I am always just grateful that I have an adequate supply!

@cyneswith: i had a lumpectomy too, but they never warned me about any breastfeeding difficulties... but then again, i was 22 at the time and maybe I forgot or they just didn't think to warn me for when the time came. Anyway, it was a problem with my first baby... she definitely didn't like my left boob as much (i had two lumps taken out of that one, and one on my right). However, for my second baby, she's breastfeeding like a champ on both.... and my left is the one making more milk these days. So, you never know! Good luck!

I fully expect my right boob to be a slacker - I had a lumpectomy a few years ago, and was told it might interfere with milk production. But hey, it wasn't cancer, so I'm good with it.

My left boob is the slacker too, which is surprising since I type with my right hand and its easier for me to type when shes nursing on the left and my left boob prior to pregnancy was the bigger one. I try to feed from it first sometimes, let her comfort suckle a little longer but not much else, pump and nurse and what it gives it gives, my right side makes up the slack.

My left boob is the sad one. Its also the one that gets mastitis, plugged ducts and milk blisters. He will not feed from it if I offer it to him after the right. So I always start with the left first. He always pauses and gives me this look, like "why do you even bother mom."

Yeah, my right boob is a rockstar, and my left boob is a total slacker. I just don't worry about it. When I'm with DS, I tend to feed from both sides anyways, so I switch off which one I offer first, and I just pump 'em the same times/amount. And chastise left boob for being so lame.

Actually I don't have any advice other than always offer that breast first, but my son did not want to drink from my right boob what so ever. It was a battle everytime. I tried pumping to increase production and it didnt work. So I decided to stop feeding him the right boob.

Yes, that meant that my boobs were uneven, but happy with my decision, less stress and a happy baby. (and happy mommy)

I am the same way. Every once in a blue moon it would decide to produce equal to my happy side but for the most part I haven't found a way to make it consistently do so. My son even prefers to nurse on my happy side, probably because he gets more milk faster that way.

Mine is like this too. I've tried pumping and feeding her more on the sad side, but it does nothing. I've just decided to live with it.

My right breast just doesn't produce a lot of milk. I hear it's very common to have uneven production but mine is really bad. I get almost twice as much more out of my left breast (happy boob).

Any tips on how to even out? I have kinda tried just pumping the one side more frequently but am not diligent about it.
