@lawbee11: You are right, tummy time does tire her out. I shall do more of that and will add in the practice sitting. weather's been crap, but I guess I ought to just bundle her and take her out now and again.

My little gal is almost six months. We did (and do) a lot of library visits, since it's close by. We occasionally attend storytime, and get a new batch of books, each week.

We go on a walk each day, either in the stroller or wrap carrier. We live on the coast, and have mild weather, so I get this is not an option for those who experience real winters. She likes playing with kitchen items like wooden spoons and spatulas, so I pull those out when she seems satiated on her own toys.

We take baths together, sing, and listen to music. We also run daily errands, and meet up with friends or family for coffee.

My LO is 23 weeks old (I had to count just now because I lost track long ago). I actually have found that she naps better after I tire her out. She LOVES her jumperoo. But I do limit her time in it. I let her bounce for 15 minutes at a time, and usually only once a day (sometimes twice). She also loves her activity mat. She grabs/pulls/swats at toys and is content to do so for long periods of time. I find that tummy time and practicing sitting unassisted really tire her out. She can tripod sit, so I'll put her hands in front of her while "spotting" her and let her practice til she tips over (and I catch her). We also go to story time at our local library on Tuesdays and Thursdays (it's free) and go for walks around the neighborhood.

What do you all do to keep your lo"s entertained and stimulated during the day? I am home alone with ds most of the time and too often I just can't think of anything creative to do with her at this age. We "talk" to each other alot and I will sometimes take her for a walk around the house looking at and pointing out things. Occassionally, we watch Baby First TV together if they have a sing-along segment on. Sometimes I will lay her on her mat and and she stare/bat at the hanging toys, etc.
Can't think of anything else to do with her, and sometimes I wonder if she will nap better if I am better able to tire her out.

Any ideas of things I can do daily with a 21 week (nearly 5 months) old?
