For example, some of the questions were:</p> <p>1) Where was banana born?<br /> 2) How many pounds was banana when she was born?<br /> 3) Banana and Mr. Banana secret hope their LO will grow up to be: a) golfer 2) veterinarian 3) doctor 4) professional basketball player<br /> 4) What do they plan on naming their boy/girl? (this was where we revealed the baby name we chose!)</p> <p>Anyway, those were just a few examples and you can be as creative/funny as you want. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-to-do-at-a-baby-shower#post-61567 Fri, 27 Jan 2012 19:53:01 +0000 tequiero21 61567@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>lots of games to play!</p> <p>when i threw one for my SIL, we played gift bingo - i made bingo sheets - filled them with items from her registry. as she opened her gifts, you have to cross out the item on your list. if you get bingo, you get a prize!</p> <p>i filled 3 baby bottles with gummy bears and whoever guessed the closest would win them.</p> <p>i made a pool - everyone contributes $5 per guess to whoever guesses the correct date of birth (closest time).... you can add height and weight or so....</p> <p>this may be hard, but i got most of the people to send me baby pictures, and we had to guess which ones belonged to the guests.... might be easier if you have more than a few, but less than a lot # of guests. lol.</p> <p>i also melted some chocolate in diaper and they had to guess - i didn't do too well because 2 people guessed them all. =(</p> <p>my SIL threw me a party.... we played baby trivia - they asked different kinda of questions pertaining to pregnancy, babies, etc. whoever guessed the most won. they had to cut string to try and match my pregnant waist. and we also played pin the bottle.</p> <p>GOOD LUCK!</p> <p>btw, make sure to have a diaper cake! it's really easy to make and is a great centerpiece. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-to-do-at-a-baby-shower#post-61561 Fri, 27 Jan 2012 19:39:58 +0000 mediagirl 61561@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>Oh boy...the baby food and poopy diaper games. :) I told my friends not to try to pull that at my shower! You just wait for the ice cube to melt and the small plastic baby to be free and first one melted screams "My water broke". (Got the small plastic babies at Michaels)<br /> The word ones are easy to print up and pass out and dont cost you much at all.<br /> I would have small prizes for the winners. I figured how many games I was going to do and then buy SMALL gifts for the winner of each game. If you do want to do games and stuff I can send some links to shower games ideas. There are some that are super easy and dont cost much at all.<br /> you can get cheap decorations at the dollar store. Baby showers can be expensive to throw. She moved to Alberta from California, so she doesn't know too many people. And the thing is I just moved here in June too and I don't know a whole lot but I do know a few more. </p> <p>Anyways, I decided to throw her a baby shower and invite the people that she knows and some people that I have met who have children too. I have never thrown a shower before so this should be fun. I just want to make sure that it is going to be fun for every one and I would love to see if you have any suggestions! </p> <p>There arn't going to be a ton of people maybe 10 at the max. What I am planning on doing is picking up some onsies and I already got some fabric paint. Then I am also going to pick up a cake and lots of snacky foods. </p> <p>Should I have more to do? Do you think with that and all the visiting it will be enough to keep us busy? Do you have any tips for me? Suggestions? Anything would be appreciated! </p> <p>THANK YOU!!! </p>
