When my mom and I do “mom and me” days, we do like to do pampering things, but not your usual mani/pedi stuff. There is a tea house and “foot sanctuary” in my city, and we go and sip all sorts of exotic teas (and nibble pastry) while we soak our toes in big tubs of hot water and warm stones, and get foot and leg massages. Would your mom be up for any kind of more non-traditional spa services – seaweed wraps, steam rooms, different sorts of massages, etc.? Or what about doing something touristy like a guided tour? Mother's Day is May 13 this year, which is also my birthday. My mom and I have never really done anything that is just the two of us, so I convinced her to take 3 days off to come see us and then she and I'll drive to Reno. It's close enought that one night is enough, but far enough to be away. We'll stay at Circus Circus, and I'm not sure what else we'll do.<br /> She's not into pampering stuff, and there don't seem to be many good shows on the night we'll be there. Maybe I'll see about a massage or something. </p> <p>What are you going or what is being done for you? </p>
