They both cry for about a minute.. Sometimes as little as a few seconds and sometimes up to 5 or 6 minutes, but as long as they have their loveys they both fall back asleep on their own every time unless something is really wrong. I would say set a time limit for crying, even if it's just 2 mind, to give her a chance to fall back asleep in her own. Baby girl won't take a paci, so unfortunately nursing is really the only thing that comforts her. :/ I WISH she took a paci!</p> <p>@Weagle: yea, last night I waited about 20 mins for the fussing to stop but then she started crying, whereas she normally can put herself back to sleep. She's not really eating at most of her nightwakings lately, but can't seem to put herself back to sleep like she did before. If she has a "help me" cry I go in immediately, of course. WHen you nurse her in the MOTN does she really eat? Or is it half hearted? If she's really eating, then it seems like she's hungry and needs to eat. Does she take a paci? The last few weeks have been great with sleep, usually waking once or twice to feed. However, starting a few nights ago, she has been up 5 times (I am thinking prob the 4 month sleep regression or wonder week 19) so what do you do during a regression? I let her fuss when she wakes, but I would hate to let her cry if she truly needs me to comfort her, so I have just been getting up with her, nursing her, and putting her back down. I had thought that once she was going to sleep by herself, she would have less night wakings, which she did until a few days ago. I guess I just don't want to create bad habits but I also don't want to ignore her if she needs me. If you had an LO that went to bed by herself but still woke multiple times, how did you handle it? </p>
