<description>&#60;p&#62;my OB told me to aim for 150 mg a day, but that the official rec is 300 mg. He said to aim low in case I go over with things I don't realize have caffeine in them. that said, I'm pretty sure a cup of regular brewed coffee has minimal caffeine!! &#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;More coffee! With my first pregnancy I tried to stop drinking Mt. Dew (my version of coffee, haha) and it was a nightmare - I was such a crab and dragging through the day. My midwife said as long as I stuck to a moderate amount, like 200-300mg a day, there was absolutely no cause for concern. I don't know about coffee, but a can of Mt Dew only had 50-something mg of caffeine, so it wasn't an issue at all!
