We had a long, leisurely lunch on a restaurant patio, and listened to some live music, outside. The weather was gorgeous and we could hear the sea lions, so it was lovely!</p> <p>One thing I find really relaxing and freeing is slowly exploring a bookshop, and ordering coffee in a real mug, rather than a to-go cup. We went to a local coffee shop in the am for the first time and then drove about an hour away to visit the town my DH went to high school in - we checked out some of his favorite spots and had lunch at a nice restaurant (a picnic would be lovely but it was raining and lots of pollen in the air). The reason we scheduled it is because I am flying solo all weekend with both kids, so I want to do something relaxing, fun, and doesn't cost too much. It can't be too physically exhausting because I'm terrified of being alone with both kids after a long week of work. </p> <p>I don't need a mani or pedi (I do them myself now) so I was thinking maybe a chair massage... any other suggestions? I think a movie will suck up too much of the day. </p>
