We are currently at my inlaws, 6 hour time difference and we are going with the flow. It means bedtime is later, but he is sleeping in. We brought our sons Mickey Mouse stuffed toy from home and his favorite pajamas, which helps a lot.

It's normal for kids to be thrown off when they are out of their usual environment. I try to be accommodating and go with their direction. I go through bedtime routine as usual and will sleep with LO. He gets so excited about co-sleeping.

How old is she?

DD doesn't sleep well at other places so I just put her in a regular bed instead of pack n play or crib and she sleeps fine.

My lo is just 10 weeks old, so there isn't much negotiating going on. When we were at my parents' home on thanksgiving, LO didn't sleep at all at night. The last night my parents and aunt took turns with her so I could sleep and it took all three before she gave up and fell asleep.

I feel like LO's sleep is the bane of my existence!

We are at my ILs in advance of getting on a plane in the morning to fly out for the holidays. We have been trying to get her down for an hour and MIL is in there now but it sounds like they are doing a lot of negotiating.

We are now about 90 minutes past normal bedtime. If we were home, I would leave and come back bit for the most part she was refusing to even lie down on the bed when I was in there. I am already sooo over this...
