FREEZE IT!!!

I am sooooooooo glad I froze that extra milk at the beginning (and throughout the process) towards the end of her first year. I wasn't pumping anything when I was getting to the end of our pumping journey.

Freeze it! I froze loads for N and when I had to stop pumping it was a savior. I wish I had frozen more.

@runsyellowlites: Eek, yes! I was so scared about not producing enough when I went back to work that I stashed away about 140 oz... I have 30 extra this week. I didn't get the birth I wanted so I'm bent on nursing til he's at least two! At least one thing needs to work in our favor ;)

Freeze it! It's always nice to have that extra milk as a buffer if you get sick or lose some supply.

I would freeze it to use for times that you & DH might want a night/weekend away (I used/made our stash specifically for our anniversary trip), and if you start approaching the "frozen milk exp date" you can always donate to a mom in need.

Personally, I wouldn't drop any sessions until you're okay with possibly weaning since things like sickness, nursing strikes, etc can effect supply & you can't really predict them. This was one of the reasons why I was adamant about not night weaning... and it turned out to get us through a couple of nursing strikes that I'm pretty sure we would've really struggled to keep supply had we done so.

I have about 4-6 ounces extra each day after pumping 3 times. If you have extra milk, do you freeze it? Donate it? I know I probably shouldn't drop a pump session due to supply and demand. My LO only takes 12 ounces a day while he's with DH and I pump 16-18 ounces.
