@FaithFertility: If you really feel like you need veggies there is the option of a green smoothie (if you can tolerate that). That was the one form of green veggie I've been able to handle!

ETA: Oh, and I don't remember eating bananas for a while but later on I started loving them super super cold.

Bagels worked for me for a couple days...I tried to tell myself it was better if I got a multigrain kind and put cream cheese on it and then maybe a very thin layer of something with protein. But really, eat whatever you crave! Anything you can get down is good.

I'm surprised you don't want pasta. I wanted tons at the beginning and got sick of it towards the end of the second tri. I ate a lot of pbj, toast, various types of potatoes, cheese, yogurt, pickles, and olives. I couldn't be that concerned about being healthy.

eat what you can stomach! Hopefully the nausea will abate soon. Also try to sneak in fruit/veg when it sounds not horrible to you. Sometimes when I was feeling generally sick I'd make a point to eat as healthy as possible because I figured regardless of what I ate it would be gross at that point so might as well get some nutrients lol. But honestly babies are very efficient at getting the nutrients they need. Don't worry too much about eating what you can the first few months.

Morning sickness is the worst! I lived on baked potatoes (thank goodness Wendy's has these), PBJ sandwiches, salty snacks (like pretzels and goldfish), and the occasional plain white chicken. Don't worry too much about eating healthily... your baby will pull all the nutrition it needs from your body, even if you aren't eating much at all! I would suggest that you eat whatever you can stomach and just focus on getting through the worst of it.

@Cole: I too need my water ice cold, or I can't drink it....it is not too bad, but so funny how turned off I get just thinking of it, let alone smelling it or trying to eat it!

I wish I had a good suggestion, I am currently in love with rice krispies which I am fairly certain have no nutritional value. I have been able to do smoothies though, anything ice cold seems to be doable right now so I try to do one of those a day and include spinach and Greek yogurt. Popsicles have helped me keep fluids going. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse!

I was the same when I was pregnant. A friend recommended multigrain frozen waffles with almond butter as a healthier option. While not as yummy as bagels, I could stomach it and felt better eating them every single morning for a couple months :) there's a brand of organic frozen waffles, if you go that route ... Vans, I think?

I've kinda been living off of yogurt and fruit lately. Sometimes I can eat oatmeal but it really depends. I also have been eating a lot of trail mix. I'm a firm believe in eating what you can to survive during this time, there were a few days that I lived off of cheez-its and sour gummy worms.

I am not throwing up (yet) but the thought of some many foods makes me gag.......all meat, salad dressing, veggies, pasta.......lol
I'm trying so hard to eat healthy....
Fruit, bagles, and peanutbutter and jelly......are my staple
Anyone else feel this way?????
