@grizz: I feel like mine took 5 minutes! I brought DH and LO but could have gone alone. I was nursing LO when my Doctor walked in. If anyone will be understanding of your need to nurse, your OB/midwife should be!

At mine they just asked questions about birth control and took a quick peek down below and said everything looked fine (I had really bad tearing).

ETA: No pap for me either. I'm not due for like 6 months.

@grizz: if she says you're due and would like to do one, just tell her that you still have some pain and ask if you can schedule it for a little later. I'm sure that would be okay.

No pap, but only because I wasn't due! She looked at my lady parts to make sure there were no healing issues. I had a midwife, so I took baby, and she was weighed and measured and looked over. 6 weeks was my last midwife appointment, I was sad!!!

I brought my LO because I knew my doc and all the nurses would want to see her. But she was a pretty easy baby so I knew she wouldn't cry since I fed her right before we left for the appointment.

My doc did an internal exam, asked me how I was feeling, asked about Birth Control, and cleared me for normal activity. That was it. Easy Peasy.

No pap (I don't think I was due). Basically she just looked around, asked about BF, talked about birth control. She was disappointed that M wasn't there bit I was glad I left her at home with DH. she was so colicky that I couldn't handle the stress of having her there. I brought her to a later appointment.

@rachiecakes: I was hoping you'd answer! I still have pain off and on and I do NOT want a pap right now. Ouch!

@grizz: She just took a look at things, felt around. Asked me about breastfeeding and PPD. Asked about birth control.
She was actually disappointed that I didn't bring DS with me! :)

@coacheswife123: I was terrified I was going to get a pap because I had over a hundred stitches and still had a lot of healing to do, but she said I didn't need one.

I have my appointment tomorrow - Can anyone give me any insight on what to expect and what questions to ask? I had quite a bit of trauma/tearing at birth, so I don't know if that factors in or not. Did you bring your LO with you? He is EBF but will happily take a bottle from DH...We just don't generally do that unless we have to.

I'm so sleep deprived with LO that I'm sure I'll forget everything I need to ask unless I write it down!
