Good grief. It wasn't even that good of a movie! I hate my hormones, y'all. I should not be allowed home alone with Netflix from now until birth. Too many potential sob-tastic movies. I laughed a lot when the shop-owner character's phone announced that it was ovulation time!! That was so me at the time I was watching the film. I think I might like to see it again because I'd totally identify with the lack-of-glow complaint now, too! I guess because I'm currently researching pregnancy and birth like a madwoman I felt like a lot of it was inaccurate. Although, I realize it was a light hearted movie that was supposed to be funny and entertaining. I had serious baby blues still, and it actually depressed me more than I already was because everyone was so "My baby is my glow," and I was in a state of the complete opposite. I was still thinking having a baby was the worst mistake ever.</p> <p>But it was playing on HBO not too long ago, and I watched it again, and I thought it was ok. Not a great movie, but Elizabeth Banks character was pretty much me in that last trimester, so my husband and I had a good laugh. I think it was meant to blow things out of proportion to put emphasis on the different ways that families can come together. How did you like it? </p> <p>Over the weekend my baby fever reached a fever pitch and DH banished me from talking about babies. So as a reward I guess for not talking babies for two days we watched "What to Expect."</p> <p>There were scenarios for most everyone, but the film still seemed a bit too light hearted. Is there more to pregnancy? I enjoyed the dad group especially when they all admitted their children were the best things that ever happened to them. </p>
